Network with Your Local Peers
Local networking with peers is consistently the biggest reason most IFMA members give for joining the organization. As an IFMA member you can meet regularly and get to know your local peers in facility management, discuss common problems and solutions and combine efforts on issues of mutual concern. No matter what industry segment or facility type you manage, you’ll find others with similar environments and problems. Our local membership includes facility managers from the manufacturing, banking, retail, government, education, refining, health care, chemical, shipping, and non-profit industry segments.
IFMA | NWO is in the process of building a membership directory with a profile of the experience and expertise of each member, so you can seek out other FM professionals or suppliers with specific skill sets to assist you with any problem or issue you may be dealing with.
In addition to regular monthly meetings, members meet informally at Scrambler Marie’s on Secor for the IFMA Roundtable breakfast on the first Friday of each month and at the Scrambler Marie's on Rt. 25 across from Levis Commons on the thrid Friday to socialize and discuss issues of mutual interest in greater depth than is usually possible at formal monthly programs. Many of these discussions eventually evolve into program topics.
Another good opportunity for networking is the annual IFMA | NWO golf tournament, which traditionally brings out the best crowds of the year.
